Sam kiang Chinese Opera Troupe Wins Multiple Awards, Showcasing Outstanding Artistic Talent
Since its establishment in 2016, Sam Kiang Chinese Opera Troupe has been dedicated to promoting and preserving the art of Yue Opera. Over the years, through outstanding performances and relentless effort, the troupe and its actors have won numerous awards in domestic and international opera competitions, showcasing exceptional artistic skills. At the Singapore Chinese Opera Academy’s Orchid Awards, the troupe saw two actors receive the “Outstanding Actor Award”, a recognition not only of individual performance talent but also of the troupe’s achievements in nurturing opera talent. Additionally, at the Global Yue Fan Carnival, the troupe’s actors have won the Yue Fan Personal Orchid Award four times, demonstrating their profound skills and the charm of Yue Opera.Moreover, Sam Kiang Chinese Opera Troupe was honored with the “Outstanding Organizational Team” Award at the Global Netizens Chinese Opera Competition for its excellent teamwork and organizational abilities, further solidifying its strong reputation in the opera community. These awards are not only a recognition of the troupe’s artistic level but also serve as an inspiration for all members to continue improving and contributing to the promotion of Yue Opera.
Looking ahead, Sam Kiang Chinese Opera Troupe will remain true to its original mission, cultivate more opera talent, and continue to contribute to the revitalization of Yue Opera both in Singapore and globally.
